Sitting up

Over the past few weeks, Isabelle has been getting better at sitting up by herself. Today, she lasted longer than she ever has before (even long enough for me to take this picture). She still tips over eventually, but she's starting to get the hang of it!

Just for fun

Here are some recent pictures of Isabelle. She is growing so fast and is so much fun. In the past couple of months, she has started eating solids, learned to roll over, and is trying to sit up by herself. She tries to scoot & crawl on her stomach to get to toys and gets really frustrated that she doesn't always succeed. She loves grabbing just about anything - her toys, her feet, mom's hair, and dad's nose. She also loves when we hold her hands so she can stand up on her feet and can't get enough of playing in the bathtub.

She's a "taggie"

Izzie's cousin, Max, had an obsession with tags when he was younger. He loved to play with tags on clothes, toys, towels, etc. His younger brother, Sam, has the same fetish. We all thought this was a trait unique to the boys in their family...until Izzie came along. Look out boys - it looks like you have a new member for your "taggie" club!

Sleeping on the job

We're not sure if her new highchair is really that comfortable or if she pretended to be asleep so she wouldn't have to eat that nasty baby food!

Izzie's First Easter

Izzie had a great time celebrating her first Easter Sunday with her mom & dad and grandma & grandpa.

Fun with Grandma Shar & Grandpa Barry

We had a fun visit with grandma Shar and grandpa Barry April 4th-12th. We gave grandpa a taste of what his upcoming retirement life will be like (minus hauling a 5 month old baby around everywhere) with sleeping in (if you can even call it that when that's 7am for him!), taking leisurely morning walks, going out to lunch, shopping, and just hanging out.

Izzie loved spending time with grandma & grandpa and especially loved the Donald Duck noises grandpa made and playing peek-a-boo with him while he strolled her around shopping. She also loved when grandma fed her (a much cleaner/faster job than when mom and dad do it) and was always giving her big smiles. They also helped break in her new jogging stroller!
