We took Izzie to Kiddie Kandids today to get her 6-month old photos. Here are some of the cute shots.

Fun in the sun

We went to Bev & Gary Wilkinson's house on Saturday afternoon for a fun BBQ. The kids and dads had a great time swimming and the ladies had a great time chatting and taking pictures!

First time swimming

We took Isabelle swimming for the first time last night at our community center. She didn't splash around too much like she does in the bathtub...instead, she almost fell asleep! It must have been a very relaxing experience for her!

Crawling video

My friend Niki is a computer genius and figured out how to post videos. So, here is a cute clip of Isabelle crawling from today. As you can see, she's still a little wobbly!

It's true - Izzie finally figured out how to crawl yesterday afternoon! She's been scooting and rocking on her hands and knees for awhile now and it finally came together for her. I wish I could post the video clip for everyone to see because she's still working some kinks out and it's really cute to watch. And, as grandma Shar predicted, one of the first things she did was head for the stairs (I guess we need to invest in a gate)! The good news for me is that I don't think she's figured out yet all that she can do with this new skill, but I guess it's only a matter of time before she's moving all over the place.

Happy Mother's Day

I hope all of the mothers in our lives had a nice day on Sunday. I had a great 1st official Mother's Day. Danny and Izzie went above and beyond to make it a special day for me including making me a delicious dinner and giving me a beautiful necklace made of Isabelle's birthstone. Also, Danny gave a wonderful Mother's Day talk at church (thanks to everyone for sending us your thoughts on the joys and challenges of being a mother - they really helped).

Happy Birthday Alexa!

Alexa Chazen, Izzie's friend, will turn one next week. We had an early celebration for her last night at Desert Ridge Marketplace. Here is a cute picture of her opening one of her presents. Once again, Maya and Alexa had a wonderful time playing in the fountains and Izzie was scared to death of them (this time I'll blame it on her not feeling very well because of the shots she got on Thursday)! Anyway, Happy 1st Birthday to Alexa!

Six months old!

On Wednesday, May 9th, Isabelle turned 6 months old. It really is amazing how fast they grow up. We had a fun day meeting our friends Bev, Britany, Maya, Kenyon, Niki, and Alexa at Desert Ridge Marketplace for some lunch and shopping. Maya and Alexa had a fun time playing in the fountains, but Izzie wasn't too excited about them as you can see!

We took Izzie to the pediatrician on Thursday for her 6-month check-up and shots. She is 27 1/4" tall (93 percentile) and weighs 16.6 pounds (67 percentile). Danny is very excited to have a tall and skinny little girl!

Rock 'n Roll

The "Rock 'n Roll" title has a couple of meanings. First, Isabelle is all over the place these days -she's been rolling for a couple of months now and is getting quite good at getting around this way. Plus, last week she figured out how to get up on her hands and knees. She gets up over and over again and just rocks back and forth. I'm sure one of these days she'll take off crawling!

Second, Isabelle has taken quite a liking to the song "Hello, I Love You" by the Doors. Danny sings it to her and she laughs and laughs. We're not sure if she really likes the song that much or if she just likes to see her dad make a fool out of himself with the singing and head-banging!
